Not a necessity but great to have
When you use the blender brushes for the same color family all the time the brushes become stained and you don't really need a color identifier. However, adding the color to the handle makes a more pleasant looking display. The stickers fit perfectly on the handle of each brush and have a strong stick. I am glad I bought my set.
