Say goodbye to uneven foiling! The Foil Magic Shim evenly distributes pressure and evenly conducts heat to provide consistent foil adhesion.

The Taylored Expressions 6 x 6 in. Foil Magic Shim is the perfect tool to elevate your toner foil crafting. Made of durable epoxy laminate, the shim transfers the heat of your foiling machine directly to your foil and cardstock. In addition to superior heat conduction, the shim will provide added pressure and ensure smooth and consistent foiling results.

Steps for use:

Put the shim into your carrier folder and place the toner-printed cardstock on top.
Cover with toner foil – shiny side up!
Close the carrier folder and feed it through your Minc or laminator as normal.
Say hello to a happier foiling experience!

Caution: Shim may be hot after several trips through your machine. We recommend using our Mini Mitts for sensitive fingers!

Wow—this lived up to its name. I foiled for over 2 hours straight. My minc turned itself off at one point but the magic shim never waivered. Not a miss no matter what size piece of foil I used. A must-buy!!

I had struggled before with my mini minc and trying everything, higher temp, lower temp, carrier sheet with our without a cardstock shim, parchment paper. You name it I tried it and never got a great result. With my new magic shim and a carrier sheet, I foiled 8 different Foil-it cards using several different colors of deco foil and got perfect, fabulous results every time! I am so happy! The magic shim sits below your cardstock within the transfer folder you use for foiling. It distributes heat evenly allowing for full foil transfer to your card panel or toner acetate. I’ve tried different heat settings, cardstock shims and wiping with a swiffer dry cleaning cloth. All hassles. No more. The magic shim transforms the experience and is a complete game changer to foiling. Now I can’t wait for the 12x12 version from TE! Thank you Taylor!! ?
